Have you ever really looking around the cemetary? Beehives, hourglasses, lambs, tree trunks and more can be found on the stones there, but do you know what they mean? All of these symbols tell a story about the person buried below. Melissa Hicks Giles, the Brazil Public Library’s local history and genealogy librarian will unveil what each of these symbols mean and the history behind them.
